Darkness Falls / The Answer

Following on from the ‘Hazy’ single and video earlier this year, here is ‘The Answer’ a brand new song by Danish duo Darkness Falls.

Released in 2011 to much applause the debut album ‘Alive In Us’ and the single ‘Hey!’ made them the most played act on national Danish radio, but also gained attention abroad with iTunes USA indie-spotlight feature and radio rotations around Europe alongside a live-tour.

Now Josephine Philip and Ina Lindgreen are busy in their studio finishing the songs for the new album, which is set for release in early 2015. 

After ‘Hazy’, ‘The Answer’ is the second single. On a bed of hard beats the new track unfolds a dramatic tale of love, desire and loss. The atmosphere is immersive, melancholic and decisive. The combination of the raw guitar, played by Ina Lindgren, that has notes of Joy Division and early Cure, and Josephine Philips mesmerizing vocal emphasizes the duality of the track and title.

Darkness Falls played a series of live-shows around Denmark and Europe summer 2014 (Trailerpark Festival, SPOT Festival etc.) and will focus the rest of the year on finishing the album and play a few shows around Europe.
