Out now: Brynjolfur's brand new EP "Error Man"
We've eagerly been awaiting Brynjolfur’s spicy three tracker ‘Error Man’! With the Faroese producer and DJ who also released on Eskimo Recordings, Scandinavia has been put back on the map with one of the most promising artist in terms of electronic dance music.
The Nu Disco / Indie Dance workout on his fifth EP on hafendisko is going to leave some serious marks. Well balanced between spacey synth odysseys and positive vibes, Brynjolfur also manages to unify the best sounds from the eighties with a modern gloss.
The title track ‘Error Man’ is a chugging slow groover - thick beats and bubbling arps make the foundation, while subtle mind-bending pitch shifts add the wonk.
‘Mercury Vamp’ is a percussive work out - the most outright housy vibe on the release, and even drops a rad 80s/90s inspired melody and chord progression to wrap up this essential EP.
‘Mode Machine’ has a typical snappy groove, tight yet loose, and employs some serious electro-style vocal cut ups and a trippy bass line.
On this three brandnew tracks Brynjolfur showcases once more his own unique skills.
'Error Man' EP premiered on Brooklyn-based magazine Big Shot on May 16th 2019.
